About Me…

Back in the late 1970’s I found that I had an interest in Period reenacting.

I didn’t know what period I was interested in, in fact, I didn’t even know that there were periods, or eras, to consider. I banged around the edges of reenactment camps whenever I found one. I asked a few questions…well…I asked a lot of questions. I found a home-made, drop-sleeve, longhunter style, shirt, that was on sale, and I bought it.

My life has never been the same since that purchase.

My biggest question was: “What did I want to look like?” I had absolutely no Idea. As I searched through pictures of reenactors, The basic question got bigger and more pronounced. I quickly found that my checkbook was going to be a major factor in determining what my final appearance was going to be.

I found that there were three basic periods to consider. The French and Indian War, which ran from 1754–1763, The American Revolution which ran from 1775 to 1782, and the War of 1812 which ran from 1812 to 1814.

It was at about this same time that my middle Son and I (Along with an important push from my cousin,) made a break-through with my Wife’s genealogy research. We found that we had a family ancestor that had a confirmable link to the Revolutionary War. That settled it. I decided that my era of choice was going to be mid- 1700’s.

I made much of my original outfit myself. Then, I started buying ready-made garments, some for my own use, others for resale. Early in 2007, I began employing the services of professional seamstresses to help me make, and market, period correct garments.

To date, I have produced and sold well over 200 period correct garments and, despite some major set-backs, am enjoying a 100% "Positive Feedback" rating from the many satisfied customers who have purchased period clothing through my eBay account.

Now, we are here to serve the reenactment community, especially those who are new to the hobby, along with those reenactors who are "Well seasoned".
